Framed by a Made-in-Japan navy-blue ceramic uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel with knurled edge for enhanced operability, the rich blue wave patterned dial draws inspiration from the “wave” mark, created in 1962 as a symbol of high-grade water-resistant timepieces and displayed on the casebacks of Seiko’s divers to this day. Providing an upgraded power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the 24-jewel automatic GMT movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers manual winding capability. The exceptional Limited Edition is updated with greater water resistance, following ISO standards for scuba diving depths of up to 300 meters and features a date calendar, gold-tone GMT hand, and large LumiBrite markers and hands for enhanced legibility. The GMT hand can be set independently in one-hour increments, without interrupting the time-of-day hands, to provide a second time zone reading at a glance.
